The "Yes to Life!" youth camp is designed to empower participants, encouraging them to embrace life's challenges and opportunities with optimism and resilience.
Throughout the camp, attendees engaged in a variety of activities aimed at personal growth and community building. Mornings began with energizing group exercises and mindfulness sessions, fostering both physical well-being and mental clarity. Workshops and seminars led by motivational speakers and mentors provide insights into topics such as leadership, self-esteem, goal setting and suicide awareness.
Team-building exercises in the form of obstacle courses or collaborative projects, emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort. These activities not only strengthen bonds among participants but also instill a sense of belonging and support.
Evenings filled with reflective sessions, where campers shared their stories, aspirations, and challenges in a safe and nurturing environment. This open dialogue promotes empathy, understanding, and the realization that they are not alone in their journeys.
Cultural presentations, talent showcases, and creative arts sessions allow the youth to express themselves, celebrate their identities, and appreciate the diverse backgrounds of their peers. Such expressions reinforce the camp's core message: to say "Yes to Life!" is to embrace all facets of one's existence with enthusiasm and courage and knowing that life is a gift from the Almighty that every creature needs to treasure and use in a much more productive way.
By the camp's conclusion, participants left with renewed vigor, equipped with practical skills, cherished memories, supportive network and new hope to go on. They are inspired to face life's adversities head-on, embodying the camp's spirit in their daily lives.
